Event Details

Join us in fellowship, prayer and fun at our annual Christ Church Cathedral Women’s Retreat in beautiful Montgomery Bell State Park.

Friday evening kicks off with wine and casual dinner.  Saturday morning, we are delighted to welcome our guest speaker, Gay Welch, Ph.D.  After a group lunch, you are free to explore the park, take a yoga class, participate in centering prayer or quilting, have a massage, or simply enjoy the company of those around you.  Saturday evening brings our annual dinner, followed by evening compline and fellowship.  Departure follows Sunday morning communion.

Retreat attendees have two options.  Stay for the whole retreat (or one night only if need be, although no price adjustments for single night stays), or come as a day-tripper on Saturday.  All meals are included in your retreat fee.  Yoga class and massages* cost extra and can be paid on-site.

Attendees are encouraged to bring wine and a cup, as well as something to share for group dinner Friday evening: Last names A-M: bring an appetizer, N-Z bring a salad/side.

Guest Speaker:  Gay Welch, PhD.Gay is a graduate of the department of Religion at Vanderbilt University.  She has worked as a campus minister, school counselor, and most recently as the University Chaplain, Director of Religious Life at Vanderbilt, where she still teaches courses in the College of Arts and Science.
